Louis Claussen's Senior Recital
Louis Claussen, student of Marilyn Lowe, will give a Senior Recital featuring classical works for piano from a variety of time periods.
Claussen was the winner of the 2010 & 2012 Beverlie Roper Young Artists Piano Competition held on the Campus of Drury University sponsored by the Springfield Area Music Teachers Association and he also won the 2013 Northeastern State University Young Artists Piano Competition in February. Louis has received many other awards and honors at the regional, state, and national level. He is finishing a Bachlor of Arts in Music from Thomas Edison State College and will attend Missouri State University in the Fall of 2013 to pursue a Masters of Music in Piano Performance.
Recital will be held at Second Baptist Church 3111 East Battlefield Road, Springfield, Missouri 65804. Admission is free. |

"Start of Summer" picnic and Gospel concert
Immanuel Lutheran Church will be hosting a "Start of Summer" picnic and Gospel concert. This will be a family fun event with games starting at 2pm, a BBQ at 5pm and a Gospel concert at 7pm with The Haining Family. Horseshoes, sand volleyball, kisd's games, Frisbee golf, hotdogs, hamburgers, ice cream and all of the fix'ns will be available. Concert will be indoors. Please bring your lawn chairs/blankets to watch the games. Please join us for a free fun day, food and entertainment. Immanuel Lutheran Church is located at 2756 S.
