Prince of Peace Garage Sale to Benefit Least of These  Prince of Peace Lutheran Church will hold its 7th annual garage sale to benefit Least of These Food Pantry and Clothing Closet in Nixa. 

The sale will take place in the fellowship hall of the church at 815 E. FR 182 (E. Plainview Rd. between Campbell & National) from 8 a.m. to 2 p.m. on Saturday, April 27.  Clothing, small appliances, jewelry, books, toys, furniture, and other household goods will be among the items for sale. Refreshments will also be available for purchase. Purchases at the garage sale will help to meet the enormous need in Christian County. 40,000 pounds of food is provided by Least of These for over 700 families every month. Each family receives about 20% of their monthly needs, and it is often the difference between eating or going to bed hungry.  $1 from you can buy $10 of food for struggling families in Christian County.

First Baptist Church of Strafford will host evangelist Clyde Chiles for our "Turning Point" Spring Revival May 5-8 and YOU are invited to join us! Everyone is invited to a night of music and fun at New Hope Church, at the end of Main Street in Crane. Using their God-given talents, The Texans have been blessed with many awards throughout the years. As the Master's Four, they held the title "Texas Group of the Year" from 1975 through 1982. They were designated by the Ozark Music Awards as "Group of the Year" in 1985, ‘86, ‘87 and ‘88 until the awards were discontinued in 1989. In 1987 and 1988, they received the honor of being voted "Entertainers of the Year" In 1999, The Texans became a full-time traveling ministry performing over 300 concerts a year. They have shared the stage with many great speakers including Cecil Todd, Jamie Ragel, TD Jakes, Charles Stanley, Paul Vic, Jesse Duplantis, Jerry Falwell, Tim Lahaye, and Joe Wright, just to name a few. In 2006, the Lord opened the door for the group to settle down a bit. Then in 2009, with their same mission in mind, The Texans, opened the Top Of The Mountain Dinner Theater on the grounds of The Great Passion Play, which presents the “greatest story ever told” – the final week in the life of Jesus Christ -- May through October in Eureka Springs , Arkansas . Dr. Rod Butterworth of the Creation Experience Museum (Strafford, MO) will be speaking on Sunday May 19th at the Immanuel Baptist Church of Nixa MO.  He will be teaching a combined Sunday School for children and adults at 10:00 A.M. and speaking during the morning service at 11:00 A.M. We will have the Barnabas Team from the Association of Free Lutheran Congregations Bible School in Plymouth, MN here to teach the VBS curriculum "Tell it on the Mountain" along with puppet shows and singing. We will have snacks and crafts each day and the VBS is open to all children ages 4 to 12. Bring the children in the evening while it is cooler.  Parents will have a video series Faith Lessons That The World May Know by Ray VanderLaan, presentation available to view if you wish to stay.
