Second Baptist of Springfield invites you to see "W-O-R-D Radio, Christmas On The Homefront"
Journey back to December, 1944. It’s the Golden Age of radio and long-suffering Arthur Kensington finds himself in the midst of a battle to keep his tiny radio station, W-O-R-D, on the air. He’s planned a special holiday broadcast with his eclectic staff of decidedly not-ready-for-prime time radio players. In the midst of the chaos, we meet an Army hero who has lost more than his arm in the war, an impressionable young woman intent on joining the Women’s Army Corp, a lonely orphan, and a young wife whose husband is in active duty, and we realize this special show is more important than ever!
