The Gathering Tree

For over seven years, The Gathering Tree has been involved in various ways of helping the homeless in the downtown area of Springfield.   As a result of this experience and in an attempt to focus on a few specific challenges that are not addressed by other entities The Gathering Tree reopened February 1, 2016 at the Vineyard Church building.

To accomplish these goals, The Gathering Tree has established, in a building near downtown, a "Coffee Shop/Library" type of atmosphere that is warm, friendly and upscale. Individuals are treated with dignity and respect that every human being deserves without regard to race, creed, color, gender, criminal justice status, disability, marital status, veteran status, national origin, age or physical handicap.

The Gathering Tree needs individuals and groups that will provide funding pledges for the basic monthly expenses. With this committed base support, along with sporadic additional generous donations throughout the year, all operational expenses can be covered.
