Description:
Ministry Function The Distribution Coordinator supports the ministry of Convoy of Hope by assisting the Distribution/Fulfillment Department. The position will provide support for inventory management and program initiatives for all outbound gifts-in-kind (GIK). Additionally, the position will assist with order creation, order scheduling, project coordination, and reporting. Essential Duties & Responsibilities 1. Provides support in creating loads for Convoy of Hope programs and strategic partner relationships. 2. Completes field calls and email correspondence for product requests from strategic partner agencies. 3. Assists in obtaining all necessary logistics information, completes the necessary paperwork, creates the Bill of Ladings, and assists in tracking bills of lading for third-party shipments. 4. Coordinates various projects including CHEP pallet, Bill of Ladings, and special offers. 5. Processes the Bill of Lading invoices. 6. Schedules all outbound load requests for the World Distribution Center. 7. Provides support in placing loads for Convoy of Hope programs and strategic partner relationships. 8. Assists with weekly and monthly key data reporting as defined to the Senior Distribution Director. 9. Assists with occasional label creation of inbound product. 10. Seeks and researches information for new partners and avenues for GIK distribution. 11. Fulfills all other duties as assigned. Required, Knowledge, Skills & Abilities 1. A bachelor’s degree is preferred, and a high school diploma or equivalent is required. 2. Must be willing and able to travel domestically and internationally on an infrequent basis. 3. Demonstrates proficiency in Microsoft Excel, Word, and PowerPoint, as well as experience with Warehouse Management Systems. 4. Displays excellent phone skills with strong interpersonal communication and relational skills. 5. Possesses the ability to positively contribute to team projects, cooperate with team members, and assist supervisors in planning and evaluation. 6. Exhibits excellent written communication skills for creating, editing, and proofreading correspondence. 7. Demonstrates strong organizational skills, attention to detail, and the ability to follow through without direct supervision. 8. Displays the ability to multi-task, solve problems, and manage deadlines. 9. Possesses skills in sound judgment, compliance, relationship-building, organization and structure, and the development of processes. 10. Serves as an advocate for the ministry, striving to nurture, broaden, and develop financial and other resource opportunities to support and expand organizational and program ministry. 11. Positively represents the ministry of Convoy of Hope, including its mission statement and core values, to all outside constituencies. 12. As a Christian organization, Convoy of Hope believes it is critical that team members embrace the organization's religious purposes for which it exists, and not only agree with its Statement of Faith but demonstrate it in their lives on an ongoing basis. Supervisory Responsibilities No direct reports at this time.


Qualifications:
