Donor Support Services Representative

Description:
Ministry Function The Donor Support Services Representative supports the ministry of Convoy of Hope by providing assistance with donations, account changes, questions, and concerns about Convoy of Hope activities. Essential Duties & Responsibilities 1. Receives incoming phone calls and email inquiries from donors. 2. Troubleshoots donor portal issues over the phone and via email. 3. Calls donors whose donation has lapsed to reestablish. 4. Resolves donation and account issues by clarifying the donor’s problem, determines the cause of the problem, selects and explains the best solution to solve the problem, expedites correction or adjustment, and follows up to ensure resolution. 5. Maintains donor and database records by updating account information. 6. Maintains donor confidentiality. 7. Fulfills all other duties as assigned.

Qualifications:
Required Knowledge, Skills & Abilities 1. A high school diploma or equivalent is required. 2. One or more years of experience in a customer service position is required. 3. Demonstrates clear and professional communication, both verbally and in writing. 4. Displays the ability to manage difficult situations and individuals with both tact and professionalism. 5. Exhibits a pleasant, patient, and friendly attitude that can be discerned through the phone by customers. 6. Possesses strong decision-making skills and analytical abilities. 7. Demonstrates skills in attention to detail, communication, and listening. 8. Serves as an advocate for the ministry, striving to nurture, broaden, and develop financial and other resource opportunities to support and expand organizational and program ministry. 9. Positively represents the ministry of Convoy of Hope, including its mission statement and core values, to all outside constituencies. 10. As a Christian organization, Convoy of Hope believes it is critical that team members embrace the organization's religious purposes for which it exists, and not only agree with its Statement of Faith but demonstrate it in their lives on an ongoing basis.
