Essential Duties & Responsibilities
General
1. Oversees and serves as the project research manager to design, create, and implement impactful training opportunities for the Network Working Group.
2. Serves as the liaison between Network and Communications by casting the vision, creating tickets, monitoring progress, and overseeing the final approval of projects.
3. Assists the Chief Network Officer with special projects, as assigned.
4. Creates, coordinates, and implements the podcast/vlog series to include scheduling guests, recording sessions, and uploading content.
5. Oversees, coordinates, and executes special Network events to include roundtables, webinars, regional meet-ups, and other events.
6. Works closely with other departments to create and implement valuable content for the Network Working Group.
7. Creates a timeline and completion plan for each area, such as a marketing plan, opportunities, resources, and training.
8. Researches and develops relationships for open churches already connected to Convoy.
9. Serves as the relationship manager for churches.
10. Fulfills all other duties as assigned.
Conferences
1. Serves as the main point of contact for conference partnership requests for Network.
2. Negotiates sponsorship offerings when appropriate.
3. Creates and implements the engagement strategy for each conference based on the audience demographic.
4. Works closely with the Chief Network Officer to determine conferences to attend.
5. Serves as the main contact person between conference leaders and Convoy.
6. Oversees arrangements for Convoy conference load delivery and on-site trucks.
7. Assembles talking points for team members working the conference, including stage presentations, breakouts, and interviews to ensure consistent messaging.
8. Handles all post-conference correspondence and requests from conference hosts.
9. Creates and distributes post-conference reports from new relationships established.
Qualifications:
Required Knowledge, Skills & Abilities
1. A high school diploma or equivalent is required, and an associate’s or bachelor’s degree is preferred.
2. Three or more years of ministry or conference experience is required.
3. Demonstrates excellent verbal and written communication skills to accurately convey Convoy’s program work within the organization, to partners, and to appropriate target audiences.
4. Displays proficiency in Mac/PC software programming, including Google Suites, Microsoft Office, and Salesforce.
5. Exhibits a willingness to travel up to 25% of the time, potentially on short notice.
6. Demonstrates strong organizational skills and meticulous attention to detail.
7. Possesses strong problem-solving skills and the ability to remain calm under pressure, and can maintain tact in difficult situations.
8. Serves as an advocate for the ministry, striving to nurture, broaden, and develop financial and other resource opportunities to support and expand organizational and program ministry.
9. Positively represents the ministry of Convoy of Hope, including its mission statement and core values, to all outside constituencies.
10. As a Christian organization, Convoy of Hope believes it is critical that team members embrace the organization's religious purposes for which it exists, and not only agree with its Statement of Faith but demonstrate it in their lives on an ongoing basis.
Supervisory Responsibilities
This position may supervise interns or volunteers.
