Ministry Function: The Payroll and Benefits Manager supports the ministry of Convoy of Hope (COH) by providing support to both domestic and global employees through general payroll and benefit functions to ensure accurate compensation and benefit distribution. Essential Duties and Responsibilities: Domestic Team Members: 1. Primary contact for all team member questions related to payroll and benefits. 2. Process attendance records, timesheets and update data with salary adjustments. 3. Process financial compensations and deductions. 4. Check payroll information for accuracy and ensure all relevant paperwork is in order. 5. Generate, edit, review and submit payroll to our payroll provider for completion on a bi-monthly basis, ensuring compliance with all federal, state and local regulations. 6. Maintain payroll system profiles, and set up and maintain benefit enrollments. 7. Reconciliation of monthly benefit statements. 8. Coordinate with the HR team for new hires and terminations. 9. Coordinate all FMLA employee paperwork. 10. Coordinate all COBRA enrollment and administration. 11. Support HR team by performing various special projects and producing reports as requested. 12. All other duties as assigned. Global Team Members: 1. Primary contact for global team members distributing payroll. 2. In collaboration with the Global Human Resources Director and the Finance team: a. Manage global payroll, ensuring accurate & timely processing. b. Lead the transition to global payroll setups with global payroll service providers in existing and new countries aiding in international expansion efforts. 3. Critically review and analyze global payroll to recommend and implement changes leading to payroll best-practices at the national level. 4. Support HR team by performing various special projects and producing reports as requested. 5. All other duties as assigned.

Required Knowledge, Skills, and Abilities: 1. Bachelor’s degree in human resources, accounting, finance or relevant degree preferred; High School diploma or equivalent required. 2. 2+ years’ experience and knowledge of payroll process and systems (Kronos/UKG/ADP), or equivalent required. 3. 2+ years of Human Resources experience or equivalent experience required. 4. Professional ability to keep all information in strict confidence and operate at the highest level of integrity. 5. Significant cultural understanding and awareness is required to handle sensitive issues and maintain vital relationships. 6. Critical thinker who enjoys problem solving and finding solutions. 7. Detail oriented with accurate data entry and good math skills. 8. Works with optimism, humor and flexibility, committed to providing reliable support to all team members. 9. Ability to provide clear and consistent communication. 10. Working knowledge of federal, state, FICA and local tax withholdings laws and regulations. 11. Ability to use a PC/Mac and software programs, including Gmail, and Microsoft Word and Excel. 12. Serve as an advocate for the ministry, striving to nurture, broaden and develop financial and other resource opportunities to support and expand organizational and program ministry. 13. Ability to positively represent the ministry of Convoy of Hope, including its mission statement and core values, to all outside constituencies. 14. As a Christian organization, Convoy of Hope believes it is critical that each staff member embraces the organization's religious purposes for which it exists and not only agrees with its Statement of Faith but demonstrates it in their lives on an ongoing basis.
