Overnight Direct Care Staff

Description:
Provide night time supervision during sleeping hours for up to seven residents 10pm - 8am. Complete routine resident room checks every fifteen minutes while on duty. Assure the building is secured and all residents are in their rooms at the assigned time(s). Must document all notable out-of-the-ordinary activities that occur during the night. Alert on-duty Direct Care staff (House Parents) of any emergencies. Overnight Staff works under the supervision of the Program Director. A. Assure the building is secure and all residents are in their rooms at the assigned time B. Document fifteen-minute checks during sleeping hours assuring student safety C. Document any and all aberrations to ordinary night time occurrences D. Be familiar with procedures in activating emergency numbers E. Alert on-duty Direct Care staff of any emergencies F. Attend pertinent staff meetings as scheduled G. Perform other duties as assigned or necessary

Qualifications:
Must be at least 21 years of age and have as a minimum a high school diploma or a general educational development certificate. Must be responsible, mature individuals of reputable character, able to exercise sound judgment and display the capacity to provide effective good care and supervision of adolescents.
