Jesus' instructions to his disciples in Matthew 28, "Go and make disciples of all nations, baptizing them in the name of the Father and of the Son and of the Holy Spirit, and teaching them to obey everything I have commanded you," (Mat 28:19) forms the basis of our mission statement. At Aldersgate, our mission is being who we are in Christ, so we can be Christ in the world. Our vision is not to be the biggest church on the block or to have the highest steeple. We just want to love people the way Jesus loves, spreading light, truth, and grace in all of our words and deeds. We do this by meeting and ministering to people where they are and helping them grow in a relationship with Jesus to become fully devoted disciples.
